Welcome to our Grade 4 class, a quick recap of what was covered today. Today was the 3rd Session of our class.
We all met in our classroom -- "Kesava" and after everyone sat down we said our Opening prayers.
Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, and Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.
Bhajan: We sang together the theme song of Krishna's Cowboys -- Hey Murali Sridhara couple of times (only first stanza)
And then as today was the House Inaugural, we shared the details of the activities which kids need to do -as part of Krishna Cowboys house.
Attendance: was taken and kids were divided into 3 groups. And depending on which group kids belonged to, we watched a couple of videos showing how to make Ganesha, Thoran and backdrop.
And by then we had to go to the Prayer Hall to actually participate in the activities. And once there our kids got to participate in Rangoli and Modak making activities too,
apart from making Thoran , Backdrop. And our kids made a nice garland for Ganesh. All pictures were shared in the Whatsapp group.
After all groups were ready, Kids did pooja, aarthi and offered Modak to Ganesh and we all went in a procession chanting Ganapath Bappa Moriya, while the older kids (11th graders) carried ganesh in a palanquin and then did Visarjan as well. And then we all got yummy Modak as a prasad !!!
It was a great experience filled with Ganapath Bappa Moriya chants and filled with religious fervour !!! Kids had lots of fun and being quick learners they did an amazing job in making Thoran, Garland, Modak and Rangoli and some helped with making Ganesh. You can surely use your kid's help in all of these activities at home for all the festivals. They did an amazing job and did pooja very well.
Please note Next class is only on Oct 20th 2024, due to Navratri, Dussehra no classes on Oct 6th and Oct 13th.
