Hari: Om Parents,
We had a short but enriching class today, where we explored key themes from Indian mythology and observed an important traditional practice.
- Story of Ganga and Bhageeratha:
- We talked about the story of Bhageeratha and his strong determination to bring the holy river Ganga from the heavens to Earth. This story shows us how, with hard work and dedication, even the toughest challenges can be overcome.
- We also discussed the importance of family values in the dynasty of Bhageeratha (or Rama), Their unwavering commitment to upholding family duties and the blessings sought from various devas to protect and prolong their lineage.
- Bhageertha's and Vishwamitra's persistence reminds us of the need to reflect on our actions and make an effort to stay focused on the task at hand and our own personal goals.
- Sarasvati Puja:
- The class concluded with a traditional Sarasvati Puja in the assembly to honor the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, and learning. This offered a great opportunity for the children to connect with the spiritual aspect of education and the significance of seeking divine blessings in their academic journeys.
We look forward to continuing our exploration of these rich stories and values in the next class!
Warm Regards,
Rahul and Keerthiji
