Hari Om Parents,
Welcome to our Grade 4 class, a quick recap of what was covered today. Today was the 5th Session of our class.
We all met in our classroom -- "Kesava" and after everyone sat down we said our Opening prayers.
Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, and Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.
My 24 Gurus - We started to learn about Next 2 Gurus - Air and Space
We learnt that Air is the teacher who teaches us not to get attached to anything, Flows freely everywhere, teaches us to mingle with everyone without losing sight of our goal.
And then we learnt Space has no boundaries, and teaches us that God is Omnipresent and present everywhere, in everyone and in everything.
Story: Rama Rama everywhere : we learnt that Rama's monkey army got scared of Ravana's rakshasa army at one point in the war, that's when Rama suddenly changed everyone on both sides to see his form in each other. The Monkey rejoiced and felt empowered to see Rama near them and fought with more vigour, While the rakshasa saw Rama in each other, starting fighting amongst themselves and killed each other. Through this we learnt that Bhagvan is in everyone and if we see God like the monkey army with love and devotion, then fear will vanish.
Class Attendance was taken after this.
Bala Bhagavatam - We discussed the Limbs of Sri Vishnu : Brahmins, Vedas, Cows, Austerity, Truth, Physical & Mental Disciplines, Faith, and Forbearance (which means Patience & Tolerance)
Sri Krishna's birth Celebrations in Gokula- We discussed how in Gokula everyone celebrated the birth of Krishna and were mesmerized by his beauty.
We watched a small video of these celebrations from Youtube.
And then in the class, we celebrated the birth of Krishna by offering flowers, sweets, fruits and everyone together danced and chanted Hare Krishna.
We also discussed that Deepavali is celebrated as Sri Krishna killed Narakasura, and it also is the day when Sri Ram returned to Ayodhya and the people of Ayodhya celebrated by lighting lamps and distributing sweets.
Then Kids were given sweets, fruits and a Diwali gift to take home. All pictures and videos from the class celebrations were shared in the whatsapp group.
After this we all went to the Prayer hall for Aarthi and Pledge. We had a wonderful time in class today and all the kids participated enthusiastically in everything. Kids came dressed in festive wear and had a fun session while happily praying and celebrating Sri Krishna and Sri Rama.
Please note Next class is next week on Nov 10th 2024. Wishing everyone a very Happy and Prosperous Deepavali !!
