Nov 17, 2024 - Grade 4 (Sunday AM)

Hari Om Parents, 

 

Welcome to our Grade 4 class, a quick recap of what was covered today.  Today was the 7th Session of our class.

 We all met in our classroom -- "Kesava" and after everyone sat down we said our Opening prayers. 

 Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, and Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.

Sloka Chanting: Mahamrityunjaya Mantra - we learnt this mantra and chanted it a few times.

 Krishnashtakam- We together chanted Sri Krishnashtakam a couple of times.  Kids were asked to learn the chanting at home in the next few weeks.

My 24 Gurus - We learnt about Next  Guru - Fire

 Who Am I ?

• I am brilliant in Appearance

• I have many colors

• I can do a lot of good to you, but if used improperly, I can destroy you too.

• I am very Important

• It's better if you don't come close to me.

Discussion: 

• Hot in nature, need it to cook, and keep us warm

• Glows Brilliantly in Nature

• Devours everything but does not get contaminated by the good or bad thrown in it

• Destroys Impurities of others, but remains pure itself always

• No specific shape but takes the shape of anything that is burning, (like firewood etc)

Tale:  Greedy Jackal - Do Not Hoard

BrainStorming : No Contamination - Remain Pure

Activity : Candle gives us Fire, Heat , Light

Lesson: We learnt that we should Accept all, Remain Pure (Yourself), Do not Hoard. Be Pure.

Likitha Japa: Kids were given papers to write Rama nama 1008 times before December 1st. Kids started writing with a lot of Enthusiasm. 

After this we all went to the Prayer hall for Aarthi and Pledge. 

Today Our class got the opportunity to lead the Aarthi and Pledge, our kids did a wonderful job leading the Aarthi and Pledge, and we had very less prep time, but Kids had learnt the Aarthi, Pledge and led it very well.

We had a great class today and all the kids participated very well  in everything and listened and participated in the Aarthi and Pledge with a lot of enthusiasm.
