We wrapped up the class by playing both Langadi and Kho Kho. In Langadi, we played the infection version, where tagged players must also hop on one leg, just like the tagger.
We also played a couple of rounds of Kho Kho. In the first round, the kids initially struggled with understanding the strategic aspects of the game, but with some guidance, they quickly improved in the second round. The children got really excited and wanted to keep playing, but we had to stop as the allotted session time ended.
Overall, it was a fun and engaging session where the kids learned about traditional Indian games and enjoyed themselves while learning.
Mahabharata:
We continued our revision of Mahabharata. As years passed by, people wished Yudhishthira to be the king and Duryodhana plans to kill them by burning them alive in a wax palace. Pandavas with the help of their uncle Vidura escape the fire through the tunnel but decide to be incognito till it was safe for them to reveal their identity. During this period Bhima kills Hidimbasura and gets married to Hidimba. They have a son together named Ghatotkacha. Later pandavas live in Ekachakra pura and Bhima kills the demon Bakasura.
Drupada the king of Panchala was bestowed a son-Dhrishtadyumna to take revenge on Dronacharya and a daughter- Draupadi who would get married to Arjuna. Hearing about the swayamvara of Draupadi, Pandavas travel to Panchala to participate in the feat. Arjuna finally wins over the swayamvara. With Kunti's misspoken words, all the five pandavas get married to Draupadi. Pandavas identity gets revealed and they travel back to Hastinapura. Dhritarashtra unwillingly divides the kingdom into 2 parts and gives away a barren land Khandavaprastha to Pandavas. They in-turn transform it into a beautiful city by name Indraprastha. Arjuna goes through an exile period and in the interim gets married to Lord Krishna's sister Subadhara. They have a son named Abhimanyu. Yudhishthira ruled the country wisely and with help of his brothers conquered many kingdoms.
