Nov 24, 2024 - Grade 6 (Sunday PM)

Hari Om! Parents,

Reminders

Our classes resume Dec 15, please continue to encourage students to continue Likitha Japa every day for 5 mins.

Week 8 Class Update
Class began with writing the Likhita Japa, followed by opening prayers and attendance. The children learned verse 4 from Mahishasura Mardini stotram.

We started the class with a reminder of Bhakthi Workshop and significance of pure love towards Krishna.  Moved ahead  Udyoga Parva Diplomatic Efforts for Peace by Krishna, and alliances that were sought by Duryodhana and Pandavas.  Role of Krishna and strategic plans in preparation for war.

In continuation we took traits of characters from Mahabharata and connected to human characteristics by talking about Vices and  representing moral weaknesses that can impede an individual's happiness, relationships, and ethical behaviour.   We  used the ancient game of Mokshapatha to teach virtues and vanity is a creative and interactive approach to moral education. It helped students understand the impact of their actions and decisions on their path in life. By illustrating how virtues bring progress and vanity causes setbacks, the game encouraged students to reflect on their behaviors and how they can grow spiritually, emotionally, and ethically.

Gita Chanting
This year, the children will learn Chapter 5 of the Bhagavad Gita from our Swamiji. Grade 6 is group Partha, and is assigned verses 1-26 to memorise.
