Hari Om Parents
We had an exciting event SURABHI which ended in a great success. Many thanks for all parents who took active participation in making this event a grand success.
In this class we just revised what was taught in the previous classes.
Hereinafter we request all parents to send their kids to all BV classes regularly.
Narada muni was travelling around the entire world when he saw a cow and two buffaloes which were Bhakti, Knowledge and Vairagya. Knowledge and Vairagya were in the verge of dying and so Narad muni advised Bhakti to take them both to Rishi Saunaka who was narrating the Srimad Bhagavatam to the devotees. By visiting his discourse Knowledge and Vairagya gained intensity.
Srimad Bhagavatam was written by Ved Vyasa after he compiled the great epic, Mahabharata. This was taught by him to his own son Suka muni.
It begins with Parikshit, son of Abhimanyu and Uttara. (Abhimanyu was son of Arjuna and Subhadra, sister of Lord Krishna).
Parikshit sees Kali yuga tormenting a bull and gives him places to reside. But he commits a blunder by allowing him in gold and Kali goes and sits on his head. Due to this Parikshit has to incur a curse that he will die in seven days. So Parikshit renounces the world and goes to seek the Lord. At that time Suka deva starts to narrate the Srimad Bhagavatam to Parikshit.
It starts with the curse incurred by Jaya and Vijaya, the door keepers of Vaikunta and that the Lord will take avatars to kill them.
First, they are born as Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu. Hiranyaksha was killed by Varaha Avatar of Sri Vishnu and Hiranyakashipu by Lord Narasimha for our favorite sweet and darling child devotee, Prahlad. Then comes Kurma Avatar to help the devas win against the asuras.
Please refer to our previous emails for the detailed explanation of each story. The kids must have a thorough knowledge of what had happened till date.
Please do not hesitate to connect with us for any questions or clarifications.
If you are not receiving emails regularly, please connect with us.
We talked about omnipotent supreme who has no beginning or end. Tried to explain to them why Rama and Krishna took avatar (according to their own accord choose their parents). Please ask your kids about these topics.
With Guru's blessings
