Welcome to our Grade 4 class, a quick recap of what was covered today. Today was the 11th Session of our class.
We all met in our classroom -- "Kesava" and after everyone sat down we said our Opening prayers.Kids were excited to meet each other after Winter break.
Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss-cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, and Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.
Sloka Chanting: Mahamrityunjaya Mantra - we learned this mantra and chanted it a few times. Krishnashtakam- We together chanted Sri Krishnashtakam. Some of the students led the chanting.

Qualities to learn from Guru Python -
Be satisfied like Python
Eat what comes to you according to your prarabdha(destiny).
Python is content with any food that comes its way.
Python eats occasionally.
Python does not grieve, if it does not get food daily. Waits patiently even if it has to starve for several days.
Brainstorming : We discussed the below with different examples.
Where Are You Going? - Need for harmony, Take charge of your life, Be Ambitious not Greedy
Think Before You Ask(Story of the Rabbit) - God knows the best! Be Content with what the Lord gives just like the Python
Who is the Richest ?– One who says He has Enough
Who is Poor ?– One who has nothing except Money
Who is the Wealthy ? - One who is content is the Wealthiest
Yoga time: We together did Brain Yoga - Thoppukaranam, Tree pose, Jumping jacks, Stretching exercises.
Attendance: Class Attendance was taken after this.
Bala Bhagavatam :
We discussed how and why Krishna was Everyone's Darling - Kids told related leela's of Krishna which we learnt so far which conveyed these qualities.
Dear to Parents - as he is Dutiful & Obedient
Gopas love him - as he is Friendly & Cheerful
Elders love him - as he Protects from all Dangers
Gopis love him - for his Beauty & Divinity
Rishis, Sages love him - as he is the Lord of the Universe

Bhagvad Geeta chanting : Some of the kids recited all the verses 1 to 14 prior and other kids joined for some verses. And then the video of verses 12, 13 from Ch 5 BG was played on TV and we all chanted together.
After this,we all went to the Prayer Hall for Closing Prayers and Aarthi.
We had a very interactive class today and all the kids participated very well. We greeted each other Happy New Year and some kids shared what they did in their Winter break. Class slides (link) will also be shared in the WhatsApp group. Wishing all Parents a Very Happy New Year 2025!!
