Class Updates for February
We began every class with likhita japa, followed by opening prayers. The children chanted the Mahalakshmi Ashtakam and the Mahishasura Mardini Stotram.

Mahabharata
We did a recap of the Mahabharata story and the children narrated the story.
Shalya Parva - Duryodhana seeking revenge for the death of his best friend, Karna, appoints king Shalya as the next commander-in-chief of the Kaurava army.
The armies on both sides have significantly dwindled as they face each other on the 18th day of battle.
Yudhisthira advances towards Shalya and pierces his chest with his javelin. After Shalya's demise, Sahadeva confronts Shakuni and kills him.
Duryodhana, disappointed, then rides away and hides in the Dwaipayana Lake. A few hunters tell the Pandavas about it. Bhima and his brothers and Lord Krishna reach the lake and challenge Duryodhana.
Duryodhana agrees to fight Bheema. After a long and tiring fight, Bheema sees a leaping Duryodhana and seizes the opportunity to strike him on his thighs. His thighs are shattered, and Duryodhana falls.
The only survivors from the Kaurava army are Ashwathama, Kripacharya, and Kritavarma. The Pandavas survived along with just 2000 chariots, 700 elephants, 5000 horses, and 10,000 foot soldiers.
At the end of this 18th day, the war is finally over, and the Pandavas are victorious!
