Shlokas-

We all chanted OM 3 times followed by  shlokas

"Om Saha Navavatu" (page 8 in My Prayers book) 

"Vakratunda Mahakaya" (page 27 in My Prayers book)

"Sarawathi namasthubhyam" (page 12 in My Prayers book)

"Guru Brahma" (page 61 in My Prayers book)

 "Buddhir balam" (page 152 in My Prayers book)

"Karagre vasate" (page 11 my prayers book)  

"Shubham karoti kalyanam" (page 12 my prayers book)

"Sri rama rama rameti"  (page 129 my prayers book )

"Brahmarpanam" (page 12 my prayers book)

We learned two shlokas today-

"Samudhra vasane devi" (page 11 my prayers book)

"Neelambhuja shyamala komalangam" (page 129) my prayers book (This one specially on account of Sri Rama Navami)

Geeta-

We practiced verses.. 1 to 16 (chapter 5) All the kids did a great job. But everyone needs to memorize all the verses with the perspective of participating in Geeta chanting which is coming up  on 4/12.

For your home practice-

Please play the videos and show it to the children, they can practice. The playlist is linked in the description box of our class whatsapp. We have to memorize verses until 16 for our grade level.

We had quiet time and did coloring and those who did not bring the coloring book, did likhita japa. We earned sticker rewards.

We kindly ask all children to please bring coloring book and colors (crayons or color pencils) every session.

Please also bring your handbook and my prayer book to balavihar every session.

Chinmaya CORD walkathon is coming up on 4/26 at the mercer county park. We encourage every family to register and participate in this event for a good cause. All details in the link below.

Please ask our children about this event, they were briefed up in the class about the CORD

Akhand Ramayan went until a little after 12 noon, so we did arti and pledge in the class itself.

Class Rules and requirements: 

 

 

1. Children should bring their own copy of "My prayers" book, Ramayana coloring book (for coloring activity), Balavihar handbook (we provided on the first session) 9/15), pencils and erasers and crayons. 

2. Children may bring their own "spill proof water bottles"

3. NO snacks please. Please give them a good breakfast before coming to Balavihar. Also make sure they use the bathroom before going into the class.

4. Please bring the children to balavihar a few minutes before 9.15. We want to promptly start by 9.15. Please make sure the student is not late and may come latest by 9.20 and not later than that.
