Chinmaya Vrindavan
Hari Om everyone,
We started the class with Om and opening prayer. We did a quick recap and moved on to the next chapter.
Chapter 35
Indrajit fights with the Vanaras, Rama, and Laksmana. He uses his poisonous arrows that leads to Rama and Laksmana becoming unconscious. Hanuman is asked to find the medicinal herbs in the Himalayas. Hanuman brings back a piece of the mountain with the herbs. They help the brothers to regain consciousness. Ravana agains thinks Indrajit has killed the brothers. Vanaras come in the night to attack Lanka. Kumbhakarna's sons also die in the battle. Indrajit goes back again. He tricks Rama and Laksmana by killing maya-Sita in front of them. Rama stops the fighting and puts down his weapons. But Vibhisana tells them that this is his magical powers. He urges them to stop Indrajit's puja. Lakshmana's comes in time and kills Indrajit. Ravana is in despair and angry. He threatens to go kill Sita as she is the cause of this. But Ravana's general reminds him that that he cannot kill Sita. He must go and fight Rama.
Games- we played Bingo about Rama. Kids had to remember the stories we have learned so far. They were also given a quiz.
Videos- we watched a brief video about Swami Chinmayananda and also watched an animated video narrated by Swami Chinmayananda about why we pray. Kids told us about how they remember God and pray in their day.
