Hari om Parents,
We had a great class today. We are very excited to take this journey with your kids.
Today we started with a small icebreaker activity to get to know each other.
Kids introduced themselves by passing the ball and answering to below questions:
Name,
1 fun thing they did during summer (many kids said they met with their cousins and had good time, we were very happy to note that they are forming strong family bonds),
1 fun thing that they would like to do (visit Disney, Canada, Germany etc, they all came up with multiple exotic places)
1 thing they learnt in Balavihar/ for new kids anything about their ishta devata: Unison answer was "Hanuman Chalisa". We have a fun activity planned for next class with Hanuman Chalisa.
After introduction, we went through some ground class rules. Let's teach our kid discipline of time and commitment. Please ensure to have your kids in the class by 12.50pm. Please be regular to class, this way they will feel connected and engaged.
We asked your kids reason for coming to Bala vihar. We were surprised and impressed with their answers. Please see below for their response. You all should be very proud of them. At this young age, some of the responses were very profound. We summarized that the main reason for coming to bala vihar is to learn to lead a happy and content life.
We ended our class today with a Bhajan, from page 98 in "My prayers" book.

Last but not the least, we have mentioned that good behavior in class would be rewarded. In the same regard, please start a small discussion about what is meant by "Avataar". A line or 2 would be good. Just so that they can understand when we start our class next week.
