Hari: Om Parents,
We all are very excited to meet our students after the summer break. As many of you already know, we had a shortened class today after the extended class assembly. We have a large group registered for the Sunday AM batch and most of them were active and engaged throughout the class. After introductions to the students, teacher and the curriculum; we spent the remainder of class having a quiz to recap the main events of Ramayana. We found most of our children had a very big base of the main story of Ramayana; settings them up to a deeper dive into the characters and how dharma plays a central role in the story and what could be some of the takeaways they can learn to incorporate in the routine; because it is what counts at the end of the day. The reference book will be Ramayana by C. Rajagopalachari. However, it is not mandatory, and it appears to be out of stock at our bookstore our children do not need to purchase it for class but they are welcome to read it and bring any insights for class discussions.
The other central theme for our class is The Key to Success, which has the text as Vibheeshana Geetha. For those of you who missed it, our assigned classroom this year is "Krishna" the second room on the right from the main entrance.
Warm Regards,
Rahul and Keerthi
