September 15, 2024 -  Class Updates

We started the class with 3 chants of OM with emphasis on breathing technique and Dhyana Shloka (Sahana vavathu). We introduced ourselves and kids shared what they did over the summer and the places they visited. After attendance, we went over the general rules of the class. The kids refreshed their memories by discussing My 24 teachers from Grade 4 curriculum. As kids voted for shloka over story, we started the first shloka of Ganesha Pancharatnam. Kids learnt it very enthusiastically and were able to recite to parents at the end of class. We played a game and then got into the introduction to Mahabaratha with the Story of Ganesha and Ved Vyasa and how Lord Ganesha became the scribe and the conditions put forth between them.  We ended the class with closing prayer and assembled for Aarthi and Pledge.

It was very nice to meet some of the parents at the end of class and kids briefed what they did in class.

Looking forward to a fun-filled year!

Regards,

Bhuvana and Vandhana
