Hari OM Parents!
Hope you all had a good week. It was wonderful meeting you all. Hope you are getting ready for Navratri to come! Here is the summary from our class (9/22/24) -
We chanted OM three times taking deep breaths, and said our beginning prayers - Om sahna bhavtu and then thanked the Lord and Gurudev for this time we all have together. It was wonderful getting to know your children and parents today. - We went around the classroom and asked each one to share their name, each child's favorite God/Goddess and what super power they want for themselves. Was beautiful to see many of then wanting to having teleportation skills
- We did an ice breaker activity where kids did some exercises to get us all ready for the day - We did our tree pose and challenged ourselves to stay for at least 1 min
- We then reviewed the first 2 verses of Guru stotram - Please ask your child to practice the sloka at home - Verses are in My Prayers book in Page 61
- We then talked about avatars of Lord Vishnu and how the Lord came down to earth to remove evil and protect the good. Children took turns to guess the Dasavatara (10 avatars) of Lord Vishnu
- In Geeta Chanting: Geeta chanting - We learned about Sanskrit pronunciations through this video. Here is the link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkuUCKp3BW0
- Closing prayers and aarti - We gathered in the temple hall for Aarti and pledge.
