HariOm Parents,
Hope you enjoyed your summer! We are excited to welcome you and your kids to the Bala Vihar 2024-25 session. 

It was nice to meet all the kids and many of the parents today. We started our class by introducing ourselves through an icebreaker pass the ball game. We had many new Chinmaya families join us this year.We are excited and welcome returning families and new families to chinmaya mission. We went over the class rules and started with our invocation prayers.The Friday session starts at 7pm , kindly be in the class a few minutes ahead of time so that it helps settle down and get started.

The curriculum for this year is 

  1. Mahabartha by Sri RajaGopala Chari(please check in the ashram bookstore or it can be purchased in Amazon as well) 
  2. India the sacred land (no textbook), we will give handouts.
  3. Ganesha Pancharatnam, 
  4. Nirvana Shatakam 
  5. Bhagavad Gita Chapter 5 (1-29 shlokas) is available in the 2024-25 year handbook. The handbook was given to all kids who were present today in the class.

Please make sure to send the below

1.     An empty notebook to write Likhitha jaapa and notes.

2.     Two sharpened pencils

3.     Daily Prayers book

4.    Curriculum for 5th graders 

1.     Mahabharata by Raja Gopalachari.

2.     India the sacred land (handouts will be provided by teachers)

3.     Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 4  Shlokas 1-29.

4.     Shlokas- Ganesha Panchratnam and Nirvana Shatakam.
