Here is this week's update.
Story time-
After soorpanakha's ears and nose have been cut off by Lakshmana, she angrily runs to her brothers Khara and Dooshana. She blames Lord Rama and Lakshmana and asks her brothers to seek revenge for her wounds. After a fierce battle in Janasthana, a place in panchavati, Khara and Dooshana along with their army are killed by Lord Rama. Only one rakshasa, named Akampana, escapes to Lanka. Akampana narrates all that happened in Panchavati to Ravana, who is furious. On the advice of Akampana, Ravana plots to seek revenge by carrying away Sita from Lord Rama. He asks the help of Mareecha, the shape shifting rakshasa. Reluctantly, a reformed Mareecha agrees to help Ravana.
We Practiced for our class presentation. The video was sent already in whatsapp group for the children to practice at home. The shloka audio and the other bhajan sequence were also sent in Whatsapp group for the children to practice.
Gita- we learned the gita verses 5, 6 and 7 from chapter 5.
Please play the videos and show it to the children, they can practice. The playlist is linked in the description box of our class whatsapp. We have to memorize verses until 16 for our grade level.
Homework - Sheets are given to write RAMA naama as part of likhita japa activity. Please return the written sheets by next class. (Please write full page, either side, no fixed number limit, please write as many times the paper could hold.)
We then assembled in the Mantapa for arti.

Children should bring their own copy of "My prayers" book, Ramayana coloring book (for coloring activity), Balavihar handbook (we provided on the first session) 9/15), pencils and erasers and crayons.
Children may bring their own "spill proof water bottles"
NO snacks please. Please give them a good breakfast before coming to Balavihar. Also make sure they use the bathroom before going into the class.
Please bring the children to balavihar a few minutes before 9.15. We want to promptly start by 9.15. Please make sure the student is not late and may come latest by 9.20 and not later than that.
