Hari Om everyone,
We had a very small class today with 8 kids. The temple was busy with the celebration.
Thank you so much Aruna Ji for coming and helping with the class. You were a great help!
We did a complete recap of all of the chapters and went over Chapter 12. Kids are very enthusiastic in answering questions about what we have learned so far.
Chapter 12-
King Dasaratha passes away while remembering Rama's name. Entire Ayodhya is sad that their benevolent king is gone. Sage Vasistha sends a messenger to fetch Bharata and Satrughna from Kekeya, kingdom of Kaikeyi's father. Messenger does not tell Bharata what has happened. When Bharata returns to Ayodhya, he sees the kingdom in mourning. Bharata's mother is delighted to see him. She tells him that the King is gone and how she has secured the throne for him and Rama has been sent away for 14 years. Bharata is appalled at the news.
Message- Truth should be such that it should not harm anyone. (Bharata is not informed right away that the King has passed away).
Bhajan- we sang Khate bhi Rama kaho
We spent the rest of the class practicing for our stage performance. We have a lot to do. We are still figuring out the parts. We would appreciate it if everyone can attend the class next week so that we can finalize the roles and continue to practice.
