Hari OM Dear Families,

Here is this week's update.

Shlokas-

We all chanted OM 3 times followed by  shlokas

"Om Saha Navavatu" (page 8 in My Prayers book) 

"Vakratunda Mahakaya" (page 27 in My Prayers book)

"Sarawathi namasthubhyam" (page 12 in My Prayers book)

"Guru Brahma" (page 61 in My Prayers book)

 "Buddhir balam" (page 152 in My Prayers book)

Karagre vasate (page 11 my prayers book)  

shubham karoti kalyanam (page 12 my prayers book)

Sri rama rama rameti verse (page 129 my prayers book )

We talked about seva bhava. We understood the kindness shown to the needy and helping them with what they want is seva.

Bala Ramayanam recap- We had a quick recap of the story followed by a quiz on sundarkhand. The quiz questions are shared as an image in our whatsapp group.

Game- we played Rama face and Monkey face game after learning "hanuman" means disfigured jaw.

It certainly was a fun game.

Geeta-

We practiced and recorded verses 13, 14, 15 & 16 (chapter 5) All the kids did a great job. But everyone needs to memorize all the verses with the perspective of participating in Geeta chanting which is coming up in April. (4/12)

For your home practice-

Please play the videos and show it to the children, they can practice. The playlist is linked in the description box of our class whatsapp. We have to memorize verses until 16 for our grade level.

We had grade 6 stage presentation and had to go to the mantapa and hence we couldn't get to do coloring and likhita japa.

Regardless, We kindly ask all children to please bring coloring book and colors (crayons or color pencils) every session.

Please also bring your handbook and my prayer book to balavihar every session.

Class Rules and requirements: 

 

 

1. Children should bring their own copy of "My prayers" book, Ramayana coloring book (for coloring activity), Balavihar handbook (we provided on the first session) 9/15), pencils and erasers and crayons. 

2. Children may bring their own "spill proof water bottles"

3. NO snacks please. Please give them a good breakfast before coming to Balavihar. Also make sure they use the bathroom before going into the class.

4. Please bring the children to balavihar a few minutes before 9.15. We want to promptly start by 9.15. Please make sure the student is not late and may come latest by 9.20 and not later than that.
