Class Updates for March
We began every class with likhita japa, followed by opening prayers. The children chanted the Mahishasura Mardini Stotram.
Mahabharata
After a few weeks of break for the play practice, we did a recap of the Mahabharata story and the children narrated the story.
Sauptika Parva detailing the events following the great Kurukshetra war. The title Sauptika means "The Book of the Sleeping Warriors," referring to the tragic night massacre committed by Ashwatthama, son of Drona. And Krishna's Curse to him
Stri Parva, focuses on the immense grief, mourning, and lamentation following the catastrophic Kurukshetra war. We spoke about Dhritarashtra's anger, cremation, final rites and Gandhari's Curse
India The Sacred Land
Topics Discussed: We spoke about India freedom fight, we discussed the significance of the emblem of India, flag, animal, and flower. We spoke about the inspiring work done by Dr. Kshama Metre popularly known as "Doctor Didi" is the national director of CORD (Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development) , she was awarded the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian awards, in 2008 for her exceptional contribution to social work.

We used the rest of the time to plan and practice for the upcoming stage performance. All Sessions ended with the Aarti and Pledge recitation in the temple hall.
