Welcome to our Grade 4 class, a quick recap of what was covered today. Today was the 18th Session of our class.
We all met in our classroom -- "Kesava" and after everyone sat down we said our Opening prayers.Kids were excited to meet each other after Winter break.
Opening Prayers: We all sat straight, criss-cross, hands folded, chanted together 3 Oms, then Sahana Vavatu, Ganesha Slokha -Vakra Tunda, Saraswathi Slokha- Saraswathi Namasthubayam, Guru Slokha - Guru Brahma.
Sloka Chanting: We all together recited KrishnaAshtakam.
My 24 Gurus: We learnt about the next Guru - Child -- we need to have childlike innocence and be free from all worries.
Next Guru : Lady with Single Bangle - Through this we learnt that we need to be in solitude, and use this time for Reflection and Introspection and help to achieve big goals. Just like many bangles make more noise than a single bangle. Same way being with more than one person leads to argument, debate, discussion, and does not help achieve our goals.
Story Time: Through the story of Akbhar and his Grandchild, and the story of the Proud King with new clothes we learnt how childlike innocence and carefree attitude is needed at times.
Through the story of the girl with a single bangle we learnt that to accomplish bigger goals, to work with focus and dedication, we need to work in solitude, and refrain from useless discussions, arguments etc.
Attendance: Class Attendance was taken after this.
Quiz time: Kids were given a quiz from both topics Bala Bhagavatam and My 24 Gurus covering all the chapters discussed so far. Kids participated with enthusiasm and scored well, the papers were sent home for your review.
Class Play: We did some practice today for our Class Play.
And then we all went to the Assembly for Aarthi and Pledge.
