Hari Om everyone,
We did start the class with what did we do over weekend, followed by the explaining importance about Ram navmi.
We did chant 3 oms and opening prayer.
We did Pre cap that we learned till now.
Today's class we did cover Chapter 27 and 28.
Chapter 27
In this chapter we learned about How wise Hanuman is:
-hanuman starts his journey to find Sita. He says along with my strength i do need my wisdom to find Sita and bring her back from Lanka. He did come across many obstacle in form of Rakshas like Mainka, Sursa but by using his wisdom and strength he did overcome them and he was blessed by all Gods and he could reach Lanka .
Mainka was testing Hanuman by asking him to stay for awhile rest an than go, but hanuman said nothing can stop me i need to fulfill my task.
Next he encounters Sursa , she says i am hungry from a long time, let me eat you but using his brains he became tiny went in her mouth and came out.
So he overcomed all and finally reaches Lanka.
Chapter 28
-In this chapter we learned about the beauty of Lanka and how Hanuman finds sita in Ashok vatika
Lanka was very beautiful kingdom. its had lovely gardens, big palaces, nice music,flags.
Hanuman was lost in the beauty of the city. He became a tiny monkey so no one recognises him. he started his journey in night , but meet a rakshas on his way , she was the Goddess of Gurdian. She saw his strength and power of Hanuman and said that Ravana has to be aware someone is here to destroy him.
Hanuman looked through all courtyard, palace , garden but couldn't find Sita . At last he was sitting on a wall he found a place where all evil monsters were there. the garden had ashok trees. A women with pretty hairs and big eyes with tears was sitting. Hanuman recognized her and started praising Rama. Sita was finally happy to see someone coming to save her. Hanuman gave the ring that assured sita.
Ravana came and again told siat to marry him he had all wealth and power . but sita still denied and said rama will come and rescue me.
Hanuman cam out once ravana left and sita gave her jewels to him and said i wont come with you, Rma himself should come and rescue me from here and fight with ravana. This is for my self respect and pride. I trust rama will come and do that.
We did likhita japa for 5 minutes.
We practiced 2 prayers opening and closing prayers. We would have kids recite it at home as well.
We learned 2 bhajans like
1. Veer hanuman ati balwana
2. Khate bhinram kaho.
Kids did color pages in the Bala Ramayan book.
We played freeze dance with Veera Hanuman bhajan.
