Hari Om Parents,
We started our class by writing Likhitha jaapa (writing the name of any Ishta devata god's name) and chanted Daily Prayers and Chapter5 of Bhagavad Gita all Shlokas All kids chanted most of the shlokas looking at it very well. Please help kids memorize the shlokas.
We discussed our upcoming annual play which we are having on june 6th. We have asked kids to check with parents and let us know who can participate and let us know. Since our class is a very small class. We were discussing the themes of the play, kids had a lot of ideas like Saints of India, Freedom movement, Mahabaratha. We asked kids to convey this to parents and text either of the teachers to let us know if they can participate or not.
We divided the class into two groups and played jeopardy on the topics of India the sacred land. One group was called Bharath and One group India. This quiz was an open book as it was a tough one for kids. We are proud that kids took notes on so many topics and played well. Initially Team India was winning and then team Bharath picked up and won. The final score was Team India got 2850 and Team Bharath got 3600 points.
It was time for our Aarthi and hence we all headed to our Prayer hall.
We encourage parents to help kids to learn Chapter 5 of Bhagavad Gita along with other prayers taught in class. Please register for Gita Chanting Yagna which is on April 12th.
