Please find the summary of our 21st Session of Balavihar.
Opening Prayers/Slokas: Children continue to led the prayers beautifully! We chanted Three OMs, Sahanavavatu, Vakratunda Mahakaya , Saraswati Namastubhyam, Ramaya Ramabadraya ,Krishnaya Vasudevaya and Apadaam Apahartaram.
Yoga : Children did Thoppukaranam, Vrikshasan, Bhujangasan, Butterfly and warrior poses .
Quiz/Refresh : We continued the revision quizzes covering past class stories, learnings. Images were shown relating to what they have learnt through the year and children take turns to answer. They are really getting better with each class in recollecting the learnings. We also did a refresh of U for Unity and V for Vishnu and Victory!
As Akhand Ramayan was happening and it was Rama Navami , we spoke a bit about Rama Navami festival and what the Akhand Ramayan chanting was about.
Today we introduced the script for the play , and the roles to the children . They took turns to read out the script and practice their lines a couple of times.
We ended the class with the 4 Corners Game. Children picked 4 Characters from Ramayana (Rama, Sita, Laxman and Sita) as 4 corners and enjoyed playing the game.
Next Class : Next class is on 13th April.
We really enjoyed discussing the play and listening to wonderful inputs from children. We plan on continuing to revise the learnings through the year through quiz ,games and crafts , along with the Play practice!
